• Webcam Review: This webcam has a fantastic view of Table Mountain. What a beautiful day. This camera is looking *south* ! Notice that the shadows behind the trees are on the south side of the trees in the southern hemisphere. The clouds are blowing north from Antarctica. Cape Town is the same distance from the equator as Atlanta Georgia. This points out 1)how very far *north* the continent of Africa is and 2)that there is a lot of water between the southern tip of Africa and Antarctica!! :-)

• Webcam Review: The webcam for this beach is excellent. It updates every few seconds, it is high quality, and it points in a direction that is minimally affected by light and shadows. This beach looks like an ideal escape and relaxation destination. Perhaps it us too much of a get-away! Regardless, it looks like a location for a great escape from winter. :-)

• Abraham Lincoln saluting at Gettysburg! The only animation of Abraham Lincoln at Gettysburg and possibly the first ever animation! There are only 3 known photographs of Lincoln at Gettysburg. Two of those photographs were only recently discovered by historian John Richter in 2007. (see New Lincoln Photos ). This animation is created from those two most-recently-discovered photos. Enjoy the animation of Lincoln! I hope it is insightful. :-)

• Mexico City, Mexico sits on top of landfill that sits on top of a lakebed. If you look at the satellite maps you will see that the city sits in a bowl surrounded by mountains. This webcam is of good quality, updates regularly and is reliably available during the day. It's too bad that the plaza looks like a parking lot but that's how it is. The primary negative to this webcam is that it does not operate during the night time. This too bad mostly because it means that early morning and early evening shots are lost. :-)

• Salvador do Bahia, Brazil is the third largest city in Brazil and once was it's capital. It is a large city with a significant African influence. Check out the wiki and investigate this city. With respect to the webcam, the main complaint is that it is wasting a view. While it looks at the Elevator, it misses the Bay! (see http://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ficheiro:Elevador-Lacerda.jpg ) I will do a little more hunting and will post a CamAnimation of the bay at some point. :-)
